Pete Ellis got me into playing rock music (after a lifetime of jazz, classical, and electronic). He always lays down a compelling guitar, and his songwriting portrays intimate details from prosaic events, illustrating how one’s life can hinge upon seemingly innocuous moments. I’ve learned a lot about audio production through working with Pete; we’ve always battled about adding or removing effects from a track, and that trial by fire has enabled me to more easily find that sweet spot of production.
